This video marks the first outing of Guitar Rock duo Om Nom Bomb (Chris Moore & Calvin Steward). Tranquiliser is the first release from the 2011 EP “Quick & to the Pointless”- a musical project that evolved over a period of about one month during lunch breaks and weekends. The EP was recorded on a Digital multi track studio with Chris & Calvin playing all instruments, programming drums and mastering the final tracks.
The video, like the album was shot in a short period of time in Om Nom Bomb Sound Lab 1 in the depths of sunny Kesgrave in Ipswich. All of the footage was filmed in one day on a Kodak Easysport HD mini camera, and a Nikon D90 SLR using the Movie mode and a 18-55 kit lens. All editing and post-production was completed in iMovie and Photoshop on an iMac.
The Tranquiliser video reflects Om Nom Bomb’s low-tech approach to making music, record lots of stuff, keep it fast & simple- but most of all assault the senses! There are a few great outtakes from this shoot, one of which made the cut in the form of an intro for this video. We are keeping all of the source files and plan to do a little compilation of outtakes & skits as, and when we shoot new stuff.
